Diecuts are basically large stickers but instead of being cut into traditional geometric shapes like circles/ovals/squares/etc. we use our wizardry skills to cut them in the actual shape of a head crushingly awesome image. The diecuts are made with the same thing that most other stickers or decals are made of, self-adhesive vinyl. Where can diecuts be applied? Diecuts can be applied to any smooth flat non-textured surface. This means walls, windows, mirrors, kitchen cabinets, appliances, bathtubs, etc. This does not include: textured walls, carpets, popcorn ceilings, unfinished wood, wild life, gravel roads, etc. Chances are if a regular sticker wouldn’t stick neither does a diecut. Note:Diecuts WILL stick to fridges with an “orange peel” finish but you will have to take more care to ensure the diecut is sticking to the surface when you are removing the mask. Can diecuts be cleaned? Yes, you can clean your diecut as you would clean your wall, use a damp cloth and mild detergent to gently wash your diecuts. How long will my diecuts last? As long as your diecuts are not exposed to direct sunlight and your hell spawn don’t pick at them they should last for a very very long time (5+ years) If your design is exposed to direct sunlight we recommend removing them after 3 years. I’m tired of my diecut design and want to put a new one in the same spot, can I remove the old one? Yes, diecuts are fully removeable. This means even if you’re renting you can DECIMATE YOUR SPACE! and not worry about losing your damage deposit. How Do I remove a diecut after it’s been installed? You can check out our removal instructions in our <a href="http://www.decimatordiecuts.com/pages/how-to">How To</a> section. Can I reuse a diecut after it’s been removed? When you remove a diecut it will stretch and look like a big ball of warped vinyl. Technically you could stick it to the wall again and call it modern art but it will definetly not resemble the mind blowing diecut that once graced your walls. <h2>Custom</h2> Do you do custom diecuts? Yes, see our <a href="http://www.decimatordiecuts.com/pages/custom">Custom</a> page for more info. <h2>Paint</h2> I painted my walls recently, is it ok to install diecuts on them right away? The fresh paint will need time to cure to the walls before you place any diecuts on them. We recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks. If you install your diecuts before that there is a chance that they will remove some paint when you take them down. Does it matter what sort of finish my paint job has? Eggshell finish is the best finish for the application of diecuts but satin and semi-gloss work well too. We do not recommend installing diecuts on high gloss paint. Will diecuts damage the paint on my walls when I remove them? We’re not really sure why you’d ever want to remove your diecuts but as long the paint has had adequate time to cure to the walls (we recommend 4 to 6 weeks) before the diecuts are applied, they should not remove any paint from the walls when you remove them. Even though diecuts will not generally cause damage to paint, we can’t give you a hundred percent guarantee that paint will not release from your walls at the time of removal. In the rare occasions that paint removal does happen it will usually just be small flecks that can be touched up easily. <h2>Shipping</h2> Do you ship to Canada? Yes, we are actually located in Prince George, BC and we ship anywhere in Canada. Our international shipper is UPS but we’ve found that they are not cost effective for shipping within Canada. Since, in most cases the customer is paying the shipping fees we want to make sure we get you the best rate possible. When you reach the shipping information screen during your order select the “Shipping within Canada” option, this will charge you $0 for shipping for the time being. We will then source the most cost effective shipping method to get you your diecuts and we will invoice your shipping costs as a 2nd transaction to the paypal account you provided during the time of order. If you’d like a quote on shipping before you place your order please let us know your address and which diecuts you were interested in and we will be happy to get a shipping quote for you. We are currently working at integrating Canada Post’s online shipping features into our site which will allow Canadian users to get shipping rates right at the point of purchase. Do you ship to the USA or Internationally? Yes, we ship to the USA and globally with UPS. When you get a shipping price from our integrated UPS service this price DOES NOT include any brokerage fees, duties, import taxes, customs fees, or any additional charges that international packages in your destination country may be subject to. Decimator Diecuts unfortunately has no control over whether or not your order will be subjected to these fees and if it is, we have no idea what amount these fees might total. If you are uncertain whether your order might be subject to any of these additional fees we recommend you contact UPS and your local customs office prior to placing an order at Decimator Diecuts. If packages are refused at the time of delivery due to additional fees charged by the carrier or any other 3rd party customs agency, they are returned to Decimator Diecuts and these additional charges get billed to us. As such, we are not able to provide refunds on refused packages from the USA or any other international destination. How soon will my order ship after I place it Each Decimator Diecut is made to order and is cut and assembled by one of our minions and will be shipped as soon as your entire order is complete. Usually we will have your order filled and shipped within 5 business days from the time you purchase it. Should we anticipate your order will take longer than the normal you will be notified via email.
